In The Descent when Elena was taking care of Rose in Damon's bedroom, I had to laugh when we find out that Damon was reading Gone with the Wind. Why would he read that? Yes, the writers are using that as foreshadowing, but it makes one wonder why he would.

Episode 13 of season two just fits in th season finale: Damon can´s tell apart preset and past- just like Rose didn´t after being BITTEN. Then the choose Elena to pick up Gone with the wind book. Just remembered that old sceene where Damon was in the tomb, and Stefan also getting there and couldn´t get out in season one. Elena was so more concerned about Damon and his feelings when he would think she fooled him again, then that her boyfriend couldn´t get out. Everytime I read that DE getting together wouldn´t make sense because Elena doesn´t show any romantic feelings, I must laugh really hard, because I don´t see just friendship between them from Elenas side, just NO. You know... I'm actually glad that Damon didn't apologize to Elijah. The whole point of him doing what he did to Elijah was to keep Elena safe. To protect her. To make sure nothing or no one will harm her. WHY should he apologize for that? Stefan saying "sorry" doesn't really make him the "bigger" person, it just shows that Damon is right. I have so much LOVE Damon. He is an honourable man who deserves to be loved & to be happy, he is so selfless in his love for Elena it only
