Russell T. Davies was a fantastic show runner; he brought back the show from the dead. And he introduced a whole new generation to Whoniverse and I’m eternally grateful for that. His two doctors – Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant – were like previous Doctors, brilliant in the role. So, Steven Moffat and Matt Smith had a tough act to follow when they were made show runner and the Doctor respectively. And did they succeed? Well, read on to see what I think…

Before you ask, yes, I already know who Missy is. This is just two theories I have that involve her.

Theory 1: Gus and the Orient Express

I strongly believe that Missy was behind Gus and the events of the entire episode, "Mummy on the Orient Express".

Here's why:

1. Gus was an AI, as was Seb, Missy's receptionist that she most likely created.

2. Gus wanted to study the Foretold and reverse engineer the technology keeping it "alive". And this technology could very well be similar to what Missy used on her Cybermen army made out of corpses, much like the Foretold!

Rose reunites with her dead father in the amazing 'Father's Day'.
Rose reunites with her dead father in the amazing 'Father's Day'.
Continuation of part one of my series 1 review.

Father's Day
This episode had it all. It managed to get exactly the right balance between emotion, fear, characterisation, relationships, and the concept of time. The Doctor and Rose's friendship was tested, but they came out of it stronger than ever. The scenes between Rose and her dad were heart-wrenching, and so was the moment when Jackie realised that Rose was 'her' Rose. The end scene where Pete dies in his daughter's arms is utterly tearful.
Ranking: 10/10

The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances
This two-parter was easily better than the Slitheen...

Back in 2006, my friend Joseph talked me into watching this amazing television show that we like to call, ‘Doctor Who’, well that’s actually its name and that’s why we call it that title. Anyway, after the success that was ‘Rose’, the BBC commissioned series 2 for the following year. After the series 1 finale, Christopher Ecclestone regenerated into the fan favourite, the Tenth Doctor played by David Tennant. Obviously at the end of series 1, we knew that David Tennant would star as the Doctor and Billie Piper would return as Rose Tyler.

[Note: This list does not feature ‘The Christmas...
