I can't see her cheating on Stefan...that's too controversial, and you wouldn't be sure if she really loved Damon. I think the 'she breaks up with Stefan to be with Damon' option interesting, but I would rather that it was a choice she made for herself because her feelings for Damon became too strong. Because then you would know she truly was in love with him. The trouble with the other options - the 'Elena going back and forth between the two' is too much like what I've seen on other shows/films. Smallville, (Clark, Lana and Lex) and Lost (Jack, Kate and Sawyer) and of course Twilight (Bella, Edward, Jacob). Sometimes I think doing this causes more harm than good, because it makes the girl in the middle look really flighty and weak, and can cause the audience to lose sympathy with her. So...I hope the writers do their utmost to avoid this and portray Elena in a good light.

I dont want to see stefan get hurt, but i guess there no avoiding that. Elena cheating on him seems... not right and something we all know she would never do. The best way is for her feelings for him to increase over time, or she just figure out she does :) either way this option is best
