But I actually think DE are similar to both, however I think more like Brucas because Brooke is A LOT like Damon.

I think Damon and Spike are alike, because of how much they love and protect certain people. Like, when Spike was with Drusilla he loved her more than anything and would do anything for her. Damon was like that with Katherine, he loved her so much. Then Spike fell in love with the good guy (Buffy). So then he'll do anything to help and protect her, minus one psychotic scene. Just like Damon is with Elena. Plus, both Damon and Spike develop feelings for their other halves before the other person...

I would Say This Bcoz Damon is Like Spike and Buffy is elena But They Somestimes have fights but he loved her he always will Just How Spike Loves Buffy :)
