I don't know. Damon and Elena's relationship, and potential, is far beyond that of a typical boyfriend/girlfriend romance (school events, movies,...)well, we are dealing with the supernatural here.

I think people around them already know Damon's attachment to Elena, and know how she cares for him. So as the season(s) progress, it will not come as a surprise for others to see them everywhere together.

I do not want them to be such a pair as Stelena. They were too cute and awful. I hope that somehow the writers wisely invent it! :)

I need them to become a couple eventually. They could never become another Stelena anyways. They are Delena and will always be Delena. They will always have that connection and chemistry. They will stay unique even as a couple. But I do not want Elena to go back to Stefan after.
