I'm betting that none of the producers knows how it ends. How can they? A million different things could happen have yet to be written, which could all have an impact. Even if Kevin does know, he could always change his mind, depending on the reaction from fans etc.

I don't think he's relying on the books, because the show differs from the books in so many ways. I think they kind of started at the same point but the show just had to be altered so much to suit a different generation.

I think he may have an idea of how the show might end, but it isn't set in concrete. If I was him, I'd want to see how everything plays out. I wouldn't just say I'm going to start with Stelena and finish with Stelena. I think he wants to see what works best, and he'll decide from there...
