I think it'll be a few more episodes of back and forth with Damon teasing and taunting her and her being a little snarky, but I think between different incidences that happen and the fact she really does love him, she come back around!!! :)

If those new spoilers are anything to go by (Stefan and his ripper past) then I think Elena will turn to Damon... so probably around here.
I don't think we'll have to wait a whole season for things to improve. That'd be far too much and the writers KNOW the DE fanbase is huge... they wont run the risk of overdoing it and having us tire of waiting.
