we all know he does now. katherine was more of a lust luv. one side since kat didnt luv damon back but he didnt have the lust for elena when they first met which is surprising since she looked like the supposed luv of his life.we all know that was stefans attraction to her. i guess stefan luvs katherine and lusts after elena cuz she's the good version and that's what saint stefan thinks he deserves.

Yes, 'cause he was willing to give Elena to Stefan 'cause he thought he didn't deserve her. Damon wasn't gonna do that with Katherine so his love for her was more selfish and not as unconditional as his love for Elena.

He still has feelings for Katherine but it's not love. He remember their relationship but for Elena he can do anything for elena he could even kill Katherine and it's Elena who makes him better. 'love do that. It changes us' xD
